Because Purple Urban Ribbon Foundation provides domestic violence education, resources, and survivor-focused services, we recognize that some information shared with us may be particularly sensitive.

 

We take reasonable measures to protect participant information and limit access to personal information to individuals who have an appropriate organizational need to access it.

 

We do not publicly identify an individual as a survivor, participant seeking domestic violence assistance, or recipient of survivor services without appropriate authorization.

 

Information may be disclosed when required or permitted by applicable law.

 

5. Photography, Video, Television & Social Media

 

Purple Urban Ribbon Foundation programs, workshops, events, and community activities may occasionally be photographed, video recorded, or attended by news or other media.

 

Participants may be asked to complete a media waiver or release indicating whether they consent to or decline photography, video, television, website, social media, promotional, or other media use.

 

We may retain signed media releases, waivers, and documented opt-out selections as organizational records.

 

Purple Urban Ribbon Foundation will make reasonable efforts to honor documented media preferences.

 

Declining media consent will not, by itself, prevent an individual from participating in our programs or receiving available services.

 

For minors, appropriate parent or legal guardian authorization may be required before a minor’s photograph, video, voice, or likeness is used.
