Our Mission
Purple Urban Ribbon Foundation is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence through trauma-informed services, skill-building opportunities, and access to essential resources.
We provide safe, affirming spaces that promote healing, confidence, and independence through three core programs: mobile beauty service, hands-on hair skill workshops, and daytime safe-space support with resources referrals.

Daytime Safe Space
Our Daytime Safe Space Program offers a calm, supportive environment where participants can rest, refocus, and access essential resources during daytime hours, including light refreshments and referrals to trusted community partners.

Mobile Salon
Our Mobile Salon Program delivers on-site hair care services to survivors in shelters, transitional housing, and community-based settings, removing transportation barriers while promoting dignity, confidence, and self esteem.

Skill Workshop
Our Hair Skill Workshops provide hands-on training in foundational hair care and braiding techniques, helping participants build confidence, practical skills, and pathways toward economic empowerment.
How Funds Are Used
All funds will support mobile salon fuel and maintenance, space and setup cost, hair products, tools and sanitation supplies, portable salon equipment, volunteer and stylist support, mannequin heads and training supplies, snacks, beverages, comfort supplies, resource material and referrals.
Our Approach
All Programs are delivered with a trauma-informed, survivor-centered approach that prioritizes safety, choice, and respect. Participation is voluntary, services are non-judgmental, and privacy is always protected.
Our Impact
Purple Urban Ribbon Foundation is committed to creating meaningful, measurable impact. In our first year, we aim to serve individuals impacted by domestic violence through mobile salon services, hands-on skill workshops, and daytime safe-space support, while connecting participants to trusted community resources that promote long-term stability, safety, and healing.
